Sustainable IT sourcing is not one isolated decision. Supplier choices, operational priorities, environmental impact, organisational behaviour and communication all influence one another.
The challenge was to understand those dependencies and create a clearer way of thinking about them—without reducing sustainability to a checklist or a communication exercise.

Working in a multidisciplinary student team with Knowit Sweden, I contributed to the research, synthesis and strategic development of a framework connecting IT sourcing with broader sustainability priorities.
My contribution focused on structuring complex information, facilitating insight work and translating different perspectives into clearer strategic relationships. I also contributed to conceptual and visual documentation and to thinking around how the work could support both internal understanding and external positioning.
The approach was deliberately systems-led: first understanding how the different parts influenced one another, then turning that complexity into something more useful for discussion, prioritisation and future decision-making.

The project resulted in a strategic framework and supporting documentation designed to make sustainability considerations easier to connect with sourcing decisions and organisational direction.
For me, the most valuable outcome was methodological: it strengthened how I work with problems where no single department, metric or solution holds the full answer.
It reinforced a principle I still use today: a framework only creates value when it helps people understand complexity well enough to make better decisions.
